- How about multiple processes are cool? And what general program are you
- referring to? I know of one unreleased PD application which plays animations
- and audio synchronously, but only because it is a Quicktime player. That

- I noticed no one touched the second reply in this thread, which slammed
- the Amiga unfairly as dead in the water compared to the MacIntosh. I
- emailed the author a little bit of current market actions and productions.
- Anyone care to mail this guy a 9-page history of Foundation Imaging,
- Amblin, Digital Domain, Metrolight Studios, and a huge chunk of the geeks
- that go to NAB each year? Sure, Avid has an edge as the editor of choice
- (it's a shame Digital Micronics can't advertise their Digital Broadcaster
- any better), but to say that production houses don't use Amigas is the kind
- of prophetic generalization that an uninformed exclusion from the working
- class might make, while busy at his CS degree. Sadly, I was once guilty
- of simply not knowing, either. Of course, now, I'm in the thick of
- corporate America. And my company has competitors. And with exceptions,
- we all have Amigas. And there's a really tiny handful that has SGIs, but
- their stuff is boring and flat. That's why we're here to take them down
- with our Amiga artistry (until we can afford an SGI, plus the 1/4 of a
- million dollars it costs to get a video solution on one of those monsters).
